A Clause of LOVE
“They said don’t fall for the boss. But what if the boss is your enemy… and your only weakness?”

“I work with you, not for you.”
Her voice was sharp. Almost too sharp for 9:00 AM.
But Shahneel Gill didn’t care.
She was done being polite.
The new job at A&H Co. was supposed to be a fresh start — a clean slate after the chaos at her last firm. But no one told her the CEO she’d be working under had the emotional range of a cactus and the patience of a ticking bomb.
Aman Randhawa.
CEO. Cold-blooded perfectionist.
Rumored to have fired a whole team over a single missed deadline.
And annoyingly — unfairly — hot.
“Then maybe you should try sounding like it,” Aman’s baritone voice snapped back, not even glancing up from his tablet.
Shahneel’s jaw clenched.
God, he was insufferable.
Her eyes flicked up to his face for a fraction of a second — and there it was.
That stolen glance.
Quick. Sharp. Loaded.
And in that single second, something unspoken passed between them.
Not admiration. Not respect.
No — something more dangerous.
Desire dressed in disdain.
She looked away first.
He smirked.
“Anything else, Miss Gill?” he asked, still not bothering to look directly at her — like she wasn’t worth the full weight of his gaze.
Her fingers twitched with the urge to throw his overpriced pen at his stupid, perfect face.
“No. That’s all, sir,” she said through gritted teeth, turning on her heel.
But as she walked out of his cabin, heart pounding, she knew one thing for sure —
This man wasn’t just going to be her boss.
He was going to be her greatest enemy…
And maybe her most dangerous mistake.
